1.9 Construction and function
1.9.1 General description
The laboratory power supply devices of PS 3000 C series are the third generation of small desktop units in the
power class up to 640 W. Due to their compact size they’re especially suitable for research laboratories, test ap-
plications or educational purposes.
ForremotecontrolusingaPCthedevicescanbeequippedwithanoptional,separatelyavailableanduser-retrot-
tableinterfacecard.Thereisachoiceofthreedierenttypes:USB,USB+EthernetorUSB+Analog.Allinterfaces
are galvanically isolated from the device.
Thestandardcarryinghandlecanserveastiltstand,allowingforsetupofdierentpositionsinordertomakeit
easier to read from the display or access the control elements.
All models are controlled by microprocessors.
