Some device alarms have an adjustable threshold:
Alarm Prio Meaning Description Range
OVP 1
OverVoltage
Protection
Triggers an alarm if the DC input voltage reaches the dened OVP
threshold. The DC input will be switched off. The electronic load
module is, however, not protected against possible damage due to
overvoltage. This alarm serves to notice possible overvoltage situa-
tions coming from the source.

OCP 2
OverCurrent
Protection
Triggers an alarm if the DC input current reaches the dened OCP
threshold. The DC input will be switched off.

OPP 3
OverPower
Protection
Triggers an alarm if the DC input power reaches the dened OPP
threshold. The DC input will be switched off.

These device alarms can’t be congured and are based on hardware:
Alarm Prio Meaning Description
PF 5 Power Fail
Signalises various problems with the DC-AC inverter in the rack. Triggers an alarm
if the AC supply is out of specication or when the device is cut from supply (e.g.
when switching it off with the power switch) or the inverter overheats. The DC input
will be switched off.
OT 4
OverTem-
perature
Triggers an alarm if the internal temperature of the load module exceeds a certain
limit. The DC input will be switched off.
These are displayed the same way as device alarms, but with text “Error” and are not handled as alarms:
Error Prio Meaning Description
Sense 6
Sense not
connected
This error is a) either triggered if the remote Sense connectors are not correctly wired
or interrupted or b) if the difference between input voltage on the DC input and the
Sense input is too big (see technical specications). In situation a) it is sufcient if
Sense+ is not connected or interrupt. This error will inhibit to switch on the DC input.
► How to congure the adjustable device alarms
1. Tap the touch area , then and then .
2. Select the value you want to adjust by tapping on it.
3. Set the limits for the equipment alarm relevant to your application if the default value of 110% is unsuitable.
The set values can also be entered using the ten-key tab. This will appear by tapping the button
“Direct Input” in the same screen.
