A voltage source with
reversed polarity has
been connected to

Low With all application that require to connect an exter-
nal source to the device, especially if the source is a
battery, attach an extra warning sign onto the device
which instructs the user to be extra careful, watching
the polarity. As an additional measure include fuses in
line with the DC cables which could attenuate or even
prevent damage to the device.
