Voreinstellung der Ausgangswerte
Um die Ausgangswerte einzustellen, ohne daß der Ausgang
aktiv ist, werden im Display die Sollwerte unter den Istwerten
angezeigt. So kann der Anwender Ausgangsspannung, Aus-
gangsstrom und Ausgangsleistung, oder auch Innenwiderstand
voreinstellen. Dies geschieht entweder mittels der Drehknöpfe
oder per Direkteingabe über eine Zehnertastatur. Während die
Werteinstellung mit den Drehknöpfen nur kontinuierlich erfolgt,
sind per Direkteingabe auch Sollwertsprünge möglich.
Mit den fünf Benutzerprolen kann leicht zwischen häug ge-
nutzten Sollwertsätzen gewechselt werden.
Überwachungsfunktion
Alle Modelle bieten Überwachungsfunktionen (Supervision) für
Strom und Spannung. Diese sind kongurierbar, um eine Über-
oder Unterspannung zu überwachen und ggf. eine Meldung
auszulösen:
- Meldungen wirken sich nicht auf den Ausgang aus und wer-
den, solange sie anstehen, nur auf der Anzeige eingeblendet
- Warnungen bleiben bestehen, wenn die Werte wieder im nor-
malen Bereich sind und müssen vom Anwender quittiert werden
- Alarme schalten den Ausgang direkt ab und können zudem
akustisch signalisiert werden
Erweiterbarkeit
Die Einzelgeräte können in verschiedenen Kombina-
tionen und in Schränken verschiedener Größe nach
Kundenwünschen konguriert werden. Das ermöglicht
Systeme mit Gesamtleistungen bis zu 30 kW (z. B. in
einem Schrank mit 33 HE) in Parallelschaltung. Siehe
auch Seite 148.
Master-Slave
Alle Modelle bieten standardmäßig einen seriellen Ma-
ster-Slave-Bus, mit dem bis zu 10 Geräte (identische
Modelle) in Parallelschaltung oder Reihenschaltung
verbunden und zu einem Gesamtsystem mit Summen-
bildung der Istwerte (Strom, Spannung, Leistung) zusammen-
gefügt werden können. Die Konguration wird bei allen Ein-
heiten am Bedienfeld oder per Fernsteuerung vorgenommen.
Optionen
• Digitale, galvanisch getrennte Schnittstellenmodule für RS232,
CANopen, Modbus TCP, Probus, Pronet/IO, Devicenet oder
Ethernet. Für diese Schnittstellen steht ein Steckplatz auf der
Rückseite der Geräte zur Verfügung (nur Basismodelle), so
daß Nachrüstung oder Wechsel problemlos möglich sind. Die
Schnittstellen werden vom Gerät automatisch eingebunden.

Presetting of output values
To set output values without a direct reaction to the output con-
dition, the set values are also shown on the display, positioned
below the actual values.
With this, the user can preset required values for voltage, cur-
rent and power. It is either done by using the rotary knobs or by
direct input on the touch panel. While rotating the knobs only
adjusts a value continuously, value steps can be achieved by
direct input.
The ve user proles furthermore enable the user to switch
easily between often used set values, just by activating a dif-
ferent user prole.
Supervision features
All models offer supervision features for voltage and current
steps. The supervision is congurable to monitor voltage or
current over- and undershooting. As a reaction, the device can
generate a notication of selectable type:
- Signals are displayed only; even if the fault is still active, with-
out affecting the output.
- Warnings remain active and must be acknowledged after the
fault is removed.
- Alarms will shut off the output instantly and can also be sig-
nalled acoustically.
Extensibility
The single units can be combined into various con-
gurations upon request and in cabinets of various
heights, in order to build parallel systems of up to 30
kW total power in, for example, a cabinet of 33 U size.

Master-slave
All models feature a serial master-slave bus by default.
It can be used to connect up to 10 units of identical
models in parallel operation or even series operation
to a bigger system with totals formation of the actual
value of voltage, current and power. The conguration is either
completely done on the control panels of the units or via remote
control (digital communication interface).
Options
• Isolated digital interface modules for RS232, CANopen, Mod-
bus TCP, Probus, Pronet/IO, Devicenet or Ethernet. The
interface slot is located on the rear panel (standard models
only), making it easy for the user to plug in a new interface or
to replace an existing one. The interface will be automatically
detected by the device and requires no or only little congura-
tion. Also see page 130.
• Three-way interface (3W) with a rigid GPIB port installed
instead of the default slot for retrottable interface modules
