outer diameter.

Measure the connecting rod small end inner diameter
with a small bore diameter gauge.

6.4 INSTALLATION
Install the piston rings with the marks facing up.
Do not damage the piston rings by spreading
the ends too far.
Clean the cylinder gasket surface being careful
not to drop any gasket material into the crankcase.
