Unscrew and remove the shaft nut. Remove the washer and the spacer.
11. 12. Remove the split ring housing and the split rings. Remove the shoulder washer of the mechanical seal. 13. 14. Pull the tool holding the mechanical seal upwards to the end of the shaft. ,QVHUW WKH VSHFL¿F WRRO SLSH KDYLQJ YHU\ ¿QH ZDOO EHWZHHQ the rubber of the mechanical seal and the shaft. 15. 16. Use a mallet to remove the stainless steel oil chamber cover. %\ PHDQV RI D V\ULQJH VXFN WKH OXEULFDWLQJ RLO IURP LWV housing.
17. 18. Remove the circlip. Remove the shoulder washer of the second mechanical seal. 19. 20. Pull the tool holding the mechanical seal upwards to the end of the shaft. ,QVHUW WKH VSHFL¿F WRRO SLSH KDYLQJ YHU\ ¿QH ZDOO EHWZHHQ the rubber of the mechanical seal and the shaft. 21. 22. Remove the alluminum seal housing. by Franklin Electric Pull out the rotor.
23. 24. Turn the motor housing up side down to remove the compensating washer. Remove the screw from the upper motor cover. 25. 26. Use a mallet to remove the upper stainless steel cover. Remove the upper bearing housing. 27. Remove the plastic electric wire protection.
1. 2. Position the upper bering housing and slide through the electric wire and connector from the stator. There may be a second set of wires and connector when the unit is HTXLSSHG ZLWK D ÀRDWHU OHYHO FRQWURO Position the electric wire protection at the top of a new stator. 3. 4. Position the screw in tightly after having replaced the o-ring with a new one. 3RVLWLRQ D QHZ R ULQJ DQG ¿W WKH XSSHU PRWRU FRYHU PDNLQJ sure not to damage the o-ring. Bring the wire’s connector out.
5. 6. Turn the motor housing up side down and position it on the WHPSODWH ¿[WXUH 3RVLWLRQ WKH FRPSHQVDWLQJ ZDVKHU DW WKH bottom of the bearing housing. After having replaced the ball bearings position the rotor by PDNLQJ VXUH WKH EHDULQJ ¿WV SURSHUO\ LQWR LWV KRXVLQJ 7. 8. Lubricate the rubber of the rotating part of a new mechanical seal. Fit the seal onto the special tool and slide it down on the shaft.
11. 12. Position the circlip in its housing. %\ PHDQV RI D V\ULQJH ¿OO WKH RLO FKDPEHU ZLWK PO RI ESSO Marcol 82 oil or equivalent. 13. 14. Position two new o-rings in their sits on the motor housing and lubricate them. With caution in not damaging the R ULQJV ¿W WKH RLO FKDPEHU FRYHU 3RVLWLRQ D QHZ ¿[HG IDFH RI WKH PHFKDQLFDO VHDO LQWR LWV housing.

Position the two split rings and the split ring housing. %HJLQ DVVHPEO\ RI WKH SXPS E\ SRVLWLRQLQJ WKH ¿UVW LPSHOOHU DJDLQVW WKH VSOLW ULQJ KRXVLQJ WKH ¿UVW GLIIXVHU WKH QH[W impeller and so no. 19. 20. Slide on the sleeve with the side holes downward. Turn the unit up side down. 3RVLWLRQ WKH VSDFHU DQG WKH ZDVKHU 6FUHZ RQ ¿UPO\ WKH ORFNLQJ QXW 21. 22.
