6. MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE
The electrical pump requires no particular maintenance.
Having the electrical pump repaired by personnel who
are not authorized by the manufacturer will void the
guarantee and leave you working with equipment
that is unsafe and potentially dangerous.

Before performing any intervention on the
electric pump make sure that the power supply
is disconnected and it can not be restored
accidentally during maintenance operations.
To protect the electric pump against frost, empty it
completely removing the drain plug and lling cap (see
Figure 2 B on page 5) in order to drain any uid outside
the pump. When the unit is commissioned again, carefully
close the drain plug and repeat the lling sequence from
step 3 onwards.

The disposal of this product, or part of it should be done
using local, public or private, systems for waste collection.

If the electric pump is used for liquid that are
hazardous to humans, compulsorily inform the
personnel that will perform the repair. In this
case, clean the pump, to ensure operator safety.

The pump does not work upon start
The motor starter thermal protection trips upon start

The ow rate is reduced or non-constant
The electric pump runs but does not deliver water
The electric pump vibrates

Lack of power supply Connect the voltage
Blown fuses Change fuses
Thermal protection tripped Reset the thermal protection
Failure in the motor starter thermal contacts Replace the motor starter contacts
Faulty cable connection Fix or replace the cables
Mechanical block of the electric pump Remove the electric pump mechanical block
██ Calibration of the thermal relay too low Calibrate the motor starter correctly
Low voltage during peaks Check the power supply
Suction pressure too low (cavitation) Check the electric pump NPSH
██ Intake manifold / electric pump partially clogged by
impurities
Clean the electric pump or the intake manifold
The electric pump sucks air Check the suction conditions
Bottom valve or check valve stuck in closed position Repair the bottom or check valve
Leak in the intake manifold Repair the intake manifold
Presence of air in the intake manifold or in the electric
pump
Check the suction conditions
The electric pump motor rotates in the wrong direction Change the direction of rotation of the motor
Anchoring on the plinth defective Check and rmly tighten all the nuts of the
bolts of the studs
Foreign bodies obstructing the electric pump Have the electric pump disassembled and
clean it
Dif cult rotation of the electric pump Make sure the electric pump rotates freely
without abnormal friction
Faulty electrical connection Check the electric pump connections
