17. Slide a 3.5mm aluminum wheel spacer on
the axle, then the wheel with adapters. A 3.5mm
wheel collar is used to secure the wheel in position
by tightening the setscrews onto the axle using a
1.5mm hex wrench.
18. Check the operation of the nose gear retract
using the radio system. The nose gear door is
precut to fit from the factory but some minor
sanding and trimming me be needed for final fit.
Use a hobby knife or rotary tool with a sanding
drum for clearance.
The end of the axles may have a slight bur
on them from the factory. If the wheel is hard
to install, use a file to remove this bur.
Rudder Servo Installation

1. Secure an 18-inch (457mm) servo extension to
the rudder servo using string or a commercially
available connector.
2. Center the rudder servo using the radio system.
Use side cutters to remove any arms from the horn
that may interfere with the operation of the servo.
The rudder linkage will be connected to the hole in
the servo horn 1/2-inch (13mm) from the center
of the arm as illustrated in the photo above.
4. Remove the cover from the fuselage for the
rudder servo. Set the cover aside until needed later
in this section of the manual.
5. Use a #1 Phillips screwdriver to remove the two
2mm x 8mm self-tapping screws that secure the
rudder servo plate to the rudder servo mounts. Set
the screws and plate aside to be installed in the
next step.
