DCO3 quick reference page Adaptive Brush Control The Adaptive Brush Control is a simple device to allow cleaning of hard floors by switching off the brushbar. The height adjusts automatically. M A N U A L N P NEUTRAL PA R K brush OFF for use on delicate rugs and floors. Manually select/de-select Neutral. Cover cap/ storage hook brush OFF for when the cleaner is left running in the upright position and when the hose is in use. Cable winder D DRIVE brush ON for normal carpet cleaning.
Filters and blockages Ensure the pre-filter is changed regularly. If filters block, the cleaner may overheat and cut out. The Dyson DC03 has a built in motor protection thermostat to protect the appliance in the event of a restriction to airflow. Unplug cleaner. Leave for 30 minutes. Fit a new pre-filter before use. 1 2 4 3 NB If the cleaner is still blocked lift out the post-filter and check inside for dust caking.
Bin emptying and brushbar Do not fill bin above maximum line. Keep small holes clear of dust and fluff. 1 2 3 5 Optional 4 1 Push Cyclone release catch forward to free Cyclone assembly. 3 Push bin release catch forward to free the bin. 2 Pull Cyclone assembly away from the machine. 4 Wrap a plastic bag firmly around the rim of the clear bin and empty (wait ten seconds to allow dust to settle). 5 To clean bin, wash in warm water.
