Making coee
1. Fill the coee pot with fresh, cold water. Open the lid at the top of the water tank and use the pot to ll the
tank.
Make sure the water level doesn’t exceed the MAX level.
2. You can either use the reusable lter or disposable lter paper (size 1x4) to make coee. When using lter
paper, remove the reusable lter from the holder. Form the lter paper into a funnel and place it carefully
inside the lter holder.
3. Put an appropriate amount of ground coee in the lter, then close the lid of the water tank.
4. Put the coee pot (with the lid closed) onto the hotplate.
5. Make sure the mains switch is o. Connect the appliance to the mains and switch it on. The red power light
will illuminate.
6. Hot water will start to ow into the lter after a short while.
7. Do not open the water tank lid when the coee maker is switched on. If you want to pour coee from the pot
before the ltering process is complete, simply remove the pot from the hotplate. The anti-drip mechanism
will stop coee from falling onto the hotplate. Make sure you replace the pot within 30 seconds. The ltering
process will resume automatically when you replace the coee pot.
8. Let all the water boil and lter through the ground coee into the pot before switching the appliance o. The
amount of coee produced will be slightly less than the amount of water you started with; this is because
some water evaporates and some is absorbed by the coee in the lter.
9. The hotplate will keep the coee pot at an appropriate temperature until the appliance is switched o. Coee
tastes best when it’s fresh, so don’t let it stand too long. Never let the coee pot dry out when its on the
hotplate.
Attention! Never leave the appliance connected to the mains when it is unattended.
10. When you’ve nished using the coee maker, turn o the power and remove the plug from the mains socket.
Always turn the mains power o when the appliance isn’t being used. Allow at least ten minutes of cooling
time before making any more coee. Do not remove the lter or empty the coee grounds until the appliance
has cooled down.
