ToSetSquelch:
PushtheSQLbutton.
Usingthe◄and►buttonsonthekeypadortheside▲and▼
buttons,adjustthesquelchsettingfrom0to24.
SettingSquelchto0resultsinstaticbeingheardallthetime,even
whennosignalisbeingreceived(noSquelchbeingapplied).Thiswill
drainthebatterymorequickly.
SettingSquelchto24meansthatonlyasignalthatisextremel
ystrong
willbreakSquelch(un‐mutethespeaker)andbeheard.
Typically,Squelchissettothelowestsettingthatcausesall
backgroundnoisetobemuted,butallowsdesiredtransmissionstobe
received.TheSquelchsettingmayneedtobeadjustedindifferent
environmentsandconditions.
ExitSettingSquelchmodeby:
PushingtheSQLorCLRbuttonsonthekeypad.
Waitingafewseconds.
PushingtheEmergencybutton.
PushingthePush‐to‐Talkbutton.
