STAGE ONE INSTRUCTIONS
1. Remove the top carb plate. Remove the two needle plate screws
(Fig.A). Flip the linkage forward and remove the needle. The slide does
not need to be removed from the carb, just pull the stock needle out from
here. (Fig.B).
2. Install Dynojet needle on groove #3 from the top for applications below
5000 feet, groove #2 for above 5000 feet, using all stock spacers. Install
the Dynojet washer above the E-clip.
3. Locate the main air jet (Fig.C). Using the tool provided (DT001), lightly
tap the main air jet plug (DCO500) into the main air jet, with the flat end in
first.
4. Remove the stock main jet. NOTE: The main jet can be accessed by
removing the nut from the bottom of the float bowl (Fig. D). Install the
Dynojet main jet adapter (DJA001) into the emulsion tube first. Install the
Dynojet main jet provided. If you are running the stock exhaust, install the
DJ112 for under 3000 ft. Install the DJ108 main jet from 3000-6000 ft.
Install the DJ104 main jet if above 6000 ft. If you are running an
aftermarket exhaust or slip-on with a high flow baffle, use the DJ116 main
jet. Install the DJ112 main jet from 3000-6000 ft. Install the DJ108 main
jet if above 6000 ft. Be sure that the jet you are changing is the main jet.
4. Locate the Fuel Mixture Screw (Fig.D). Using a flat blade screwdriver,
turn the mixture screw clockwise until it seats, then turn out 2.5 turn, 2
turns above 5000 feet.

1. Remove the airbox lid.

Install the DJ160 main jet if above 6000 ft. If you are running an
aftermarket exhaust or slip-on with a high flow baffle, use the DJ175 main
jet. Install the DJ170 main jet from 3000-6000 ft. Install the DJ165 main
jet if above 6000 ft. Be sure that the jet you are changing is the main jet.
6. Locate the Fuel Mixture Screw (Fig.D). Using a flat blade screwdriver,
turn the mixture screw clockwise until it seats, then turn out 2.5 turn, 2
turns above 5000 feet.
