Anthos, 2010 and 2020 Microplate Readers
The 2010 single-channel microplate reader is designed to be controlled via a PC. ADAP Basic software
(supplied) is used to control the instrument and perform the desired measurement and evaluation. Suitable
for routine laboratories, blood banks, research laboratories, PC-integrated systems and many others.
Qualitative and quantitative functions for endpoint assays require ADAP Plus or ADAP Expert software.
The 2020 single-channel microplate reader has sophisticated on-board software and a large graphics
colour display. Built on the technical basis of the 2010 it forms a convenient stand-alone system, offering
powerful, yet easy-to-use features. The 2020 covers the wide range of colorimetric ELISA tests and other
applications in diagnostics, research, environmental analysis and food testing.
Measurement modes
Single- and dual-wavelength reading, 30 seconds reading time per plate (60 seconds - dual wavelength),
calibration prior to each measurement. Kinetic measurement, up to 100 reading cycles with a minimum
interval time of 40 seconds. Fast measurement mode with data output in OD values on display and printer.
Flexible plate layout functions
Selectable blank validity, auto replicate mode and filling direction. Up to 4 controls and 12 standards
can be positioned in the plate layout.
Evaluation possibilities
A range of quantitative and qualitative evaluation methods can be applied to measurement or relational
values plus a number of kinetic data reduction options. Results can be viewed on the screen and outliers
rejected prior to printout.
Data storage
2010 - In basic configuration 30 to 50 tests (flexible memory management) and 10 plates (measured
results) may be stored for later evaluation. With an optional memory card, individual sets of tests and
plate data can be stored and reloaded. Stored tests and results may be password protected.
2020 - 1.5 MB of onboard memory for tests and results with flexible memory management. Floppy drive (3.5”)
for saving and transmitting test files and evaluated data files and for easy updates of the on-board software.
Interfacing
2010 - Serial interface for remote control of basic measurement functions, instrument status and setup
by external PC. Transmission of measured results, instrument status, etc.
2020 - Display: 25x42 characters colour graphics (640x480 pixels), keyboard with function keys, parallel
printer interface for inkjet, laser and matrix printers and serial interface for remote control of all
measurement functions. ADAP Basic supplied with the 2020 enables the transfer of tests and results
between the reader and the PC as well as convenient update of the instrument software.
Both models are supplied with 4 filters (405, 450, 492, 620nm), dust cover, user manual, spare fuses,
power and serial cables and ADAP Basic software.
