Unpacking the subwoofer
1. Unpack the subwoofer on a clean, even and soft area; floor carpeting is very
suitable.
2. The packaging should be opened from the top (1). Remove all accessories that
come packed with the subwoofer (such as AC power cord and grille). Do not
remove the top part of the protective material.
3. With the protective material still in place but with accessories removed, carefully
tilt the packaging on its side (1) and tilt again to turn it upside-down (2). Ensure
that no part of the top-cover is obstructing the opening at the top.
4. The outer packaging can now be lifted away from the subwoofer itself (3).
Remove the protective material that now is on top.
5. Open the bag and remove such from around the base of the subwoofer.
6. Again, carefully tilt the subwoofer on its side and again to turn it onto its feet.
Note that the top part of the protective material will now come off easily so ensure
that the subwoofer doesn’t drop or slide away in the process.
Check that the contents are complete:
• Subwoofer: The factory-set power requirements (refer to label on rear of
subwoofer) should correspond for the region where the subwoofer was
purchased. Refer also to chapter “Important Safety Instructions” on page 3.
• Front baffle grille.
• AC mains lead. The supplied lead should be suitable for the region where the
subwoofer was purchased.

Grille
The subwoofer can be operated without the grille. However, it is recommended that
the grille is mounted during normal use to help prevent accidental damage or dirt
settling on the cone of the loudspeaker. With subwoofers, the influence of the grille on
the sound is virtually negligible.
To remove the grille:
Gently pull the grille at all corners.
To fit the grille:
Line up the studs with the corresponding front baffle holes.
Gently push the grille in at all corners.
Note: Be careful when mounting the grille not to touch the cone of the loudspeaker
itself.

1. Procedere al disimballaggio del subwoofer piazzandosi su
un’area pulita, uniforme e morbida; i pavimenti rivestiti con
tappeti o moquette si prestano molto allo scopo.
2. L’imballo deve essere aperto dall’alto (1). Rimuovere tutti
gli accessori forniti in dotazione con il subwoofer (quali il
cavo d’alimentazione AC e la griglia frontale). Non rimuo-
vere la parte superiore del materiale protettivo.
3. Con il materiale protettivo sempre al suo posto, ma con
gli accessori estratti dall’interno, inclinare con attenzione
l’imballo sul suo lato (1), quindi inclinarlo nuovamente per
girare l’imballo sotto-sopra (2). Assicurarsi che non vi sia
alcuna parte dell’apertura superiore della scatola ad ostru-
ire l’apertura stessa dell’imballo.
4. Ora l’imballo esterno può essere sollevato ed estratto dal
subwoofer (3). Rimuovere tutto il materiale protettivo che
ora si trova nella parte superiore.
5. Aprire l’involucro e rimuoverlo dalla base del subwoofer.
6. Di nuovo, inclinare con attenzione il subwoofer sul suo lato
e quindi ancora per posizionarlo sui suoi piedini di soste-
gno. È bene notare che in questa fase la parte superiore
del materiale protettivo si rimuoverà con facilità; occorre
quindi assicurarsi che il subwoofer non cada o scivoli via
durante questa manovra.
Verica che la dotazione del materiale incluso sia completa:
– Subwoofer: Le speciche predenite relative ai requisi-
ti energetici (fare riferimento alle indicazioni presenti sul
pannello posteriore del subwoofer) dovrebbero corrispon-
dere a quelle utilizzate nell’area/zona in cui l’unità è stata
acquistata. Per ulteriori informazioni, fare riferimento alla
sezione “Importanti norme di sicurezza”.
– Griglia del bafe frontale.
– Cavo d’alimentazione AC. Il cavo d’alimentazione fornito
in dotazione dovrebbe essere adatto all’area/zona in cui
l’unità è stata acquistata.
– Il presente manuale d’uso.
Griglia
Il subwoofer può operare anche senza griglia frontale. Tutta-
via, durante il normale utilizzo si raccomanda di tenere mon-
tata la griglia, così da prevenire danni accidentali o che pol-
vere e sporcizia si depongano sul cono dell’altoparlante. Per
i subwoofer, l’inuenza della griglia sul suono è virtualmente
insignicante.
Per rimuovere la griglia:
– Tirare delicatamente la griglia dagli angoli.
Per montare la griglia:
– Allineare gli inserti con i fori corrispondenti presenti sul
bafe frontale. Premere delicatamente la griglia in tutti gli
angoli.
Nota:
Nel montare la griglia, prestare attenzione a non toccare il
cono dell’altoparlante.
