Opening the SpO
2
Module
1. Separate the SpO
2
module from the monitor (“Removing the Dual Battery in SpO2
Module” on page 55).
2. Two tabs secure the SpO
2
module rear panel to the SpO
2
module chassis. Using a
small screwdriver or your finger, press on each of the tabs inside the SpO
2
module
chassis while applying pressure to separate the rear panel from the chassis, as shown
here. (When separating the rear panel from the chassis, make sure the side panels
remain seated in the rear panel.)
3. Once the tabs allow the rear panel to be removed, separate the rear panel from the
chassis.
The rear panel is sealed to the chassis with rubber O-ring gaskets. These gaskets can
be reused when re-assembling the SpO
2
module.
When closing the SpO
2
module, verify no O-ring gasket slips out of its channel and
becomes pinched between the rear panel and the chassis.
