66 Repair Procedures Welch Allyn Propaq Encore Vital Signs Monitor
When installing the display module:
• Remove any dust from the display filter using pressurized de-ionized gas.
• Orient the display module so that the J1 connector is toward the buttons.
• Orient the brackets so that the holes on the bracket straps align with the holes in
the posts on the sides of the chassis.
• Verify two washers are present for each screw.
• Torque screws to 3.8in-lbs to 4.2in-lbs (.43N-m to .47N-m).
• After the display is in place, blow out any particulate with de-ionized gas.
Removing the Front Panel Buttons
This section describes how to remove the front panel buttons.
1. Remove the battery pack (“Replacing the Battery Pack” on page 52).
2. Open the monitor (“Opening the Monitor” on page 55).
3. Remove the Analog board (“Replacing the Analog Board” on page 59).

Note
You do not need to remove the display module to service the front panel buttons.
Buttons can be replaced while the display module remains in the front chassis.
