9.2 Calibration and Verication
The performance should be checked every year and after any
kind of maintenance and repairing.
Required Test Equipment: SpO2 signal simulator.
Notice: The simulator cannot be used to assess the accuracy of
a Pulse Oximeter probe or a Pulse Oximeter.
9.2.1 Control Key Verication
Press Menu key to display the history data.
9.2.2 Sound Verication
a. Set the Pulse Oximeter sound ON.
b. You hear the simulated heart beep sound.
9.2.3 SpO2 & Pulse Rate Measurement Value Verication
a) Connect SpO2 Probe to the SpO2 connector on
the Oximeter.
b) Insert the operator’s nger into the nger sensor, the
SpO
2 measured value of a healthy person should be
from 95% to 99%, and the pulse rate is the same as a
heart rate.
c) If SpO
2 Simulator is available, verify the accuracy of
Oxygen Saturation Value with probes as follows:
Oxygen Saturation Tolerance
96% ±2%
86% ±2%
70% ±3%
