Congratulations on your purchase of the Dynamite Torque-Start
starter box. The Torque-Start can be powered by either two 6-cell
7.2V battery packs (DYN1000) or by a 12V sealed battery
(HAN102). The Torque-Start is preassembled for your convenience
and can be used with most 1/10- and 1/8- scale vehicles.
The Torque-Start comes with the starter wheel positioned to start
1/10 off-road and 1/8 on-road vehicles. If you intend on using the
box for 1/10 sedans or 1/8 off-road buggies, simply loosen the
screws that hold the motor in place, remove the Starter End Caps,
slide the motor through the side of the Main Frame and reassemble
(see exploded view).
Installing the Batteries
If you choose to power your Torque-Start with two 6-cell 7.2V
battery packs, locate the openings at the bottom of the starter box
and secure the battery packs to the inside of the starter box with
the included battery holders.
If you decide to use a 12V sealed battery to power the box, use
the 12V battery mounting hardware to hold the battery in place.
Aligning Your Vehicle
1. Place your vehicle on the box so that the flywheel of the engine
matches up with the starter wheel.
2. Mount the alignment posts to the pressure plates where they will
secure the vehicle to the starter box, then mount the plates to the
starter box. You may purchase additional sets of mounting plates
to match different vehicles and quick change the plates for multi
vehicle operation.
Note: If the motor runs in the improper direction to
start your engine, reverse the motor wires.
Starting your Vehicle
Press down on the rear of your vehicle to engage the starter to
the flywheel.

Repair and Warranty Information
Keep your original bill of sale in a safe place, along with the
following warranty information, as you will be required to provide
proof of purchase for the equipment to be serviced under warranty.
This Dynamite product is warranted to the original purchaser
against manufacturer defects in material and workmanship for
365 days from the date of the purchase. During this period, the
Horizon Service Center will repair or replace, at our discretion, the
complete product or any component that is found to be factory
defective at no cost to the consumer. This warranty is limited to
the original purchaser of the product and is not transferable.
This warranty does not apply to any unit that has been improperly
mishandled, abused, repaired or altered by any unauthorized
agencies, or to everyday wear incurred in normal use. Under no
circumstances will the buyer be entitled to consequential or
incidental damages. This limited warranty gives you specific legal
rights. You also have other rights that may vary from state to state.
In the event that this product will require repair, please follow the
instructions listed below:
• Ship the product to the address listed below in its original carton,
or equivalent, fully insured and prepaid. Do not use the product
itself within a sturdy shipping carton. You should package it
within a sturdy shipping container using additional packing
material to safe guard against damage during transit. The
Horizon Service Department is not responsible for any damages
incurred in shipping.
• Please include a complete itemized list of all of the items
returned.
• Describe the problem and the action that you wish to be taken.
• Please include detailed information explaining your operation
of the product and the problem(s) encountered. Date your
correspondence and be sure your complete name and address
appear on this enclosure. Also include a phone number where
you can be reached during the business day.
• Within your letter, advise us of the method that you prefer to
use. The Horizon Service Center accepts VISA or MasterCard or
money orders. If you prefer to use a credit card, include your
card number and expiration date.
• Should your repair cost exceed 50% of the manufacturer’s
suggested retail price, you will be provided with an estimate
advising you of your options.
If your product requires repair that you believe qualifies as
warranty repair, please state this in your correspondence and follow
all the instructions listed above. You must enclose your dated bill of
sale (or a copy) showing that you purchased the product within the
past 365 days in order to qualify for warranty service at no charge.
