Charging 6- or 7-Cell Sub-C Ni-Cd or Ni-MH Battery Packs
1. Properly connect the charger to a 12V power source.
2. Connect the battery to the charger.The charge process
will begin automatically.
Note: When you connect the charger to a power source, the
charger will beep. The charger also beeps when a battery
has been successfully connected. The LED will illuminate to
indicate the battery is charging. Once the battery has peaked,
the LED will flash, and the charger will beep repeatedly.
Once the batteries are fully charged, the charger will
immediately enter a pulse trickle charge.This pulse charge will
condition the batteries, extend their life and make certain that
they are fully charged when you are ready to use them.You
will know that the charger has entered Advanced Trickle Charge
when the charger beeps and the LED continuously flashes.
To re-peak a battery, disconnect the battery and reconnect it.
This will begin the charge cycle again. Once the battery pack
has once again peaked, it will return to Advanced Trickle
Charge. Do not re-peak more than once
.
Do not leave the battery and charger unattended while in
use.When charging, constantly monitor the temperature of the
battery pack. The faceplate of the charger could become hot
during charging. It is normal for the battery to become warm. If
the battery becomes very hot, disconnect it immediately. Do not
allow children to charge batteries unless they are supervised
by a responsible adult. After using the battery, allow it to cool
before charging.
