Thank for you purchasing the Pit Peak
DC Peak charger. This charger will safely
charge virtually all 4/5 cell Ni-Cd and
Ni-MH receiver packs. It continuously
monitors the battery’s charge curve and
calculates when the peak will occur
(100% charge), then stops fast charging
at that point. This feature helps to
protect Ni-Cd and especially Ni-MH cells,
which are very sensitive to heat. After
the battery has peaked, the charger
automatically transitions to trickle
charge, keeping the battery pack fully
charged until you are once again ready
to use it.
• Peak detection circuitry
• 1.5-amp charge rate
• Alligator clips for DC operation
• Universal charge lead with BEC adaptor
allows virtually all 4/5 cell receiver
packs to be charged
• Simple push-button operation
This charger is powered by using the
provided alligator clips to connect the
charger to a 12V DC power source, such
as a 12V hobby battery (HAN102) or an
automobile battery.
Connect the red (positive) alligator clip
to the red terminal of the DC power
source and the black (negative) alligator
clip to the black terminal of the DC
power source. If you choose to power
this charger with an automobile battery,
never do so with the automobile running!
When power is supplied to the charger
correctly, the charger will beep.
1. Connect the receiver battery lead to
the charger. The charger will beep and
the LED will flash red until you begin
the charge process by pressing the
Start button.
2. Push the Start button to begin the
1.5-amp fast charge process. The
charger will beep and the LED will
remain solid in color.
Once the battery has peaked, the beeper
will repeatedly sound and the LED will
once again flash. When this occurs, the
charger is in trickle charge mode.
