1. LITHIUM BATTERY TYPE

3. NI-MH SENSITIVITY (PEAK VOLTAGE)
Usethismenutoadjustthepeakvoltagelevel(D.Peak)atwhich
chargingstopsforaNiMHbatterypack.YoucanadjusttheD.Peak
valuebetween5mV/Celland20mV/Cell.Generally,8mV/Cellisa
goodchoiceforNiMHbatteries.Whenthisvalueissettoohigh,a
batterymaybeover-charged.Whenthisvalueissettoolow,the
charger will not charge a battery to full capacity.
To select a value other than the default parameter:
• PresstheStart key so the value (Item A) flashes
• PresstheDecrease key or Increase keytoDECREASEor
INCREASEtheD.peakvalue
• PresstheStart key again to save this value
2. LITHIUM BATTERY CHECK TIME
Use this menu to set a time limit on a lithium battery check. The
battery charger can automatically identify the number of series of
cellsinaLithiumbatterypack.Normallythischeckingprocessis
very quick, however, it will not work properly if the battery pack is
damagedoroverdischarged.Verylargecapacitypackswillalso
take longer to check. To prevent errors, the charger default is set to
spendupto10minutestoidentifythenumberofcells.Timelimits
canbebetween5and250minutes.Toselectavalueotherthanthe
default parameter:

• PresstheDecrease key or Increase keytoDECREASEor

6. WASTE (BATTERY COOL-DOWN) TIME
TheWasteTimemenuallowsyoutosetawaittimeduringeach
step of the charging or discharging process to ensure the battery
andchargerarecompletelycooledbeforecontinuingwiththenext
step in the cycle. The default time is one minute, but you can set the
functionbetween0and60minutes.
To select values other than the default parameter:
• PresstheStart key sothecycleCHG>DCHGorDCHG>CHG
(Item A) flashes
• PresstheDecrease key or Increase key to set the cycle
• PresstheStart key again to save the setting and time value
(Item B) flashes

5. BATTERY CUT-OFF TEMPERATURE
Use this menu to set an automatic cutoff temperature in order to
prevent damage to the battery due to increased heat.
You can use the charger with an optional battery mounted
temperature sensor, sold separately. The charger can be used in
conjunctionwithabatterymountedtemperaturesensor,(alsosold
separately),whichconnectstothe3-pinsensorporttomonitorthe
temperature of the battery during the charging process. You can set
thetemperatuebetween20and80ºC(68to176ºF).
To select values other than the default parameter:
• PresstheStart key so the ON or OFF (Item A) flashes
• PresstheDecrease key or Increase key to set the cut-off at
ON or OFF
• PresstheStart key again to save the setting and temperature
value (Item B) flashes

7. TRICKLE-CHARGING
UsethismenutosetTrickleChargeONorOFF.WhenON,theCharge
Currentcanbeadjustedbetween50and200mAh.
To select values other than the default values:

• PresstheDecrease key or Increase key to set this function ON
or OFF

9. BATTERY CAPACITY CUT-OFF
Use this menu to set a capacity limit on when the charger stops
chargingabattery.Youcanadjustthecapacitycutoffbetween10
and50,000mAh.
NOTICE: If using this function, always ensure the capacity cutoff
function is set to ON before charging.
CAUTION: Always charge battery packs at settings
recommended by the battery manufacturer for the cell
count,voltageandcapacityofabatterypack(forexample,2S,
3S,etc.).Donotsetcapacity(amps)andvoltagesohighthatthe
charger’s200Wattmaximumoutputlimitisexceeded.Usinga
charge rate that is not compatible with the battery capacities may
result in damage or malfunction of the charger or batteries.

8. SAFETY TIMER
The Safety Timer function allows you to set a time limit for your
battery’schargecycletoavoidover-chargingthebattery.Youcanset
thetimelimitbetween10and720minutes.
NOTICE: If using this option, always ensure to turn the safety timer
function ON before charging.
To select values other than the default values:
• PresstheStart key so ON or OFF (Item A) flashes
• PresstheDecrease key or Increase key to set the safety time
at ON or OFF
• PresstheStart key again to save this setting and the time limit
(Item B) flashes

12. BACK-LIGHT
UsethismenutosetLCDscreenintensitybetween0and100%
(defaultis100%).
To select values other than the default parameter:

• PresstheStart key again to save the value
10. BEEP AND BUZZER SOUND CONTROL
Use this menu to set the key beep and charger alarm buzzer at ON
orOFFasneeded.WerecommendthatyoukeepthealarmONso
the alarm will sound when charging is complete or if there is cause
for alarm during charging.
To select values other than the default values:
• PresstheStart key so ON or OFF (Item A) flashes
• PresstheDecrease key or Increase key to set the key beep
ON or OFF
• PresstheStart key again to save setting and ON or OFF
(Item B) flashes
• PresstheDecrease key or Increase key to set the buzzer at
ON or OFF

11. INPUT POWER LOW VOLTAGE CUT-OFF
UsethismenutosettheDCinputvoltagelimitsoanalarmwill
sound if the voltage goes below the cutoff value. The voltage alarm
valuecanbesetanywherefrom10.0to11.0V.
To select a value other than the default parameter:

Inspection or Services - If this Product needs to be inspected
or serviced and is compliant in the country you live and use the

MerchandiseAuthorization(RMA)number.PacktheProductsecurely
usingashippingcarton.Pleasenotethatoriginalboxesmaybein-
cluded, but are not designed to withstand the rigors of shipping with-
out additional protection. Ship via a carrier that provides tracking and
insurance for lost or damaged parcels, as Horizon is not responsible
for merchandise until it arrives and is accepted at our facility. An

NOTICE: Do not ship LiPo batteries to Horizon. If you have
any issue with a LiPo battery, please contact the appropriate
Horizon Product Support office.
Warranty Requirements- For Warranty consideration, you
must include your original sales receipt verifying the proof-
of-purchase date. Provided warranty conditions have been met,
your Product will be serviced or replaced free of charge. Service or
replacement decisions are at the sole discretion of Horizon.
Non-Warranty Service - Should your service not be covered
by warranty, service will be completed and payment will
be required without notification or estimate of the expense
unless the expense exceeds 50% of the retail purchase cost.
By submitting the item for service you are agreeing to payment of
the service without notification. Service estimates are available upon
request. You must include this request with your item submitted for
service. Non-warranty service estimates will be billed a minimum
of ½ hour of labor. In addition you will be billed for return freight.
