y Then configure the timeline to provide a second video track (see
section “Video and Audio Track Properties” on page 6-7).
y Add the offline edited low-resolution clip to a standard folder of the
bin (see section “Adding Clips to the Bin” on page 4-6).
y Next add this clip to the second video track of the timeline (see sec-
tion “Adding Clips to the Timeline” on page 6-2) so that it is syn-
chronized with the contents of the built up EDL.
With this done you can activate the split screen function:
y If required switch the view of the preview area to the contents of
the timeline (see section “Selecting Contents for Viewing” on
page 8-61).
y On the video overlay of the preview area call up the context menu
and activate the menu option Split screen (see section “The Video
Overlay” on page 8-61).
After this the video overlay will show you the contents of the two video
tracks with the highest priority that provide contents:

In the bottom left part of the video overlay you can find the contents
of the video track with the highest priority. In our demonstration here
it is the low-resolution video material added to the second video track
of the timeline. At the top right the original video material is displayed,
i.e. the contents of the EDL built up in the first video track (lower prior-
ity).
However, because the EDL material is already linked to high-resolution
content and the video format of the timeline is set appropriately, its size
does not match the size of the low-resolution clip. To change this you
