2.2 Overview of the User Interface
The following figure shows the user interface of the Edit Tool as it ap-
pears after starting the DVS software (for information on how to start
the software see chapter “Getting Started” on page 3-1):

The DVS software is designed to run in full-screen mode to
provide for an undistracted view on the video material and the
editing task at hand. To switch to the operating system envi-
ronment use the [Windows ( )] key on your keyboard or se-
lect from the menu of the program icon on the menu bar the
menu option Minimize (see section “Minimize” on page 9-2).
Via the check box Don’t show this message again offered
by information messages of the DVS software you can deacti-
vate the appearance of this particular message for the current
software session (i.e. next session it will be displayed again).
