7.6 Properties of a Video Clip
Every video clip added to the timeline provides timeline element prop-
erties which offer you additional editing features for your work. These
editing features can be accessed in the form of effects operators.
Depending on its optional features, DVS provides for the Edit Tool var-
ious operators that enhance the editing functionality of the DVS soft-
ware. The following operators are available:
In addition to these, the Edit Tool supports the OpenFX plug-in inter-
face enabling you to extend its effects feature set with plug-ins devel-
oped by third parties. Once installed, they can be accessed in the effects

1st Color Correc-
tion
default This operator provides various con-
trols to perform a primary col-
or/gamma correction to the clips in
the timeline. Furthermore, you can
assign a static look-up table (LUT) to
the clips and thus perform a color
and/or gamma correction with a sin-
gle file.
2nd Color Correc-
tion
optional If you have purchased this feature, a
vector-based secondary color correc-
tion will be available in the DVS soft-
ware. It allows you to color correct
your clip with several definable color
vectors.
6-Vector Color
Correction
default This operator provides six predefined
colors which can be used for a selec-
tive color correction.
Flip/Flop default The flip/flop operator enables you to
mirror the video image vertically
and/or horizontally.
Zoom + Pan default This operator allows, for example, to
set zooming and/or panning for the
video clip in the timeline. It is by de-
fault available for all clips in the time-
line.
DeInterlace default The DeInterlace operator uses either
line based algorithms or motion esti-
mation to deinterlace your interlaced
material. With it you can render a
clip from an interlaced image format
to a progressive one.
