Setting Host IP Address
This section describes the basic process for setting the TCP/IP address for a network
port on Windows. This is for a manual setting and not using DHCP.
For this example only, we will use the following TCP/IP addresses :
IP address : 192.168.8.100
Subnet mask : 255.255.255.0
Default gateway : 192.168.8.1
Preferred DNS server : 192.168.21.10

You should replace the above example values with the ones you need (and as
directed).
A network port attached to a control panel (i.e. Precision or Valhall) requires only the
IP address and the Subnet mask set.
Windows 7
● Open the Control Panel (Start / Control Panel)
● Select : Network and Sharing Center
● On the left-hand side, choose : Change adapter settings
● In the list of adapters shown, double-click the one you want to change
● In the new dialog that opens, click the Properties button :
