If all front panel lights flash when powering up the unit, you have inadvertentaly loaded the incorrect
firmware (for instance attempting to load Quick6 firmware)

The serial port allows an external home automation system to control Matrix

commands are available as well as a series of queries to determine the status of Matrix

This is caused by CEC commands from the TV instructing other devices to power
down when it is switched off. If this is undesired behavior, uncheck the “CEC Enable
box in the advanced settings menu on Matrix

. This essentially tells Matrix

to ignore
CEC commands. They will still be passed through Matrix
6
to the sources.
Blu-ray pauses
when a different
input on Matrix
6
is
selected
This is caused by CEC commands from Matrix
6
