Changing/Inspecting the Carbon Brushes

Remove the 2 bolts on the generator

cover.

Remove the 2 wires from the AVR on the

carbon brush.

Insert and connect the 2 wires from the

AVR, be sure to connect + and – correctly.

Remove the bolt holding the carbon brush.

Install a new carbon brush with bolt.

Replace the back cover of the generator

and secure with the 2 bolts.
