CARBURETOR MODIFICATION FOR HIGH ALTIT UDE OPERATION
At high altitude, h e standard carburetor air-fuel mixture will be too rich. Performance will d ecrease, and fuel consumption
will increase. A very rich mixture will also foul the spark plugs and cause hard starting.
Operation at an altitude tha t differs from that at which this engin e wa s certified, for extend ed periods of time, may increa se
emissions.
High altitude performance can be improved by specific modifications to the carburetor. If you always operate your
generator at altitude s ab ove 1,500 meters,

ave your au thorized THIS servicin g dealer perform t his carburetor
modification.
Even with carburetor modi fication, engine horsepower w ill decrease abou t 3.5% for each 300 meter increase in altitude.
