SERVICING YOUR GENERATOR
NOTICE
A loose spark plug can overheat and damage the engine. Over tightening the spark plug can damage the threads in the
cylinder head.
7. Attach the spark plug caps.
BATTERY SERVICE
Your generator’s e ngi ne cha rging system charges the battery while the engine is running. However, if th e gen erator is
only used p e riodically, the ba ttery m ust be charged monthly to m aintain the battery s ervice life.
Emergency Procedures
Eyes -- Flush with water from a cup or other container for at least fifteen m inutes. (Water under pressure can dama ge
the eye.)
Immediately ca ll a physician.
Skin -- Remove contaminated clothing. Flush the skin with large qu antities of water. Call a physician immediately.
Swallowing -- Drink water or m ilk. Call a physician imm edia tely.
Battery Removal
WARNING: Battery posts, terminals, and related accessories contain
lead and lead co mpounds. Wash han ds after handling.
1. Remove the negative (-) cable from the
battery negative ( -) terminal f irst, and
then remove the positive () c able from
the battery positive (+) term inal.
2. Remove the flange nuts, and remove the battery set plate.
3. Remove the battery from the battery tray.
