2. Clean the sediment cup in nonflammable solvent, and dry them thoroughly.
3. Install the n ew O-ring and sediment cup, and tighten the sediment cup securely.
4. Make sure there i s no fuel leakage.
SPARK PLUG SER VICE
Recommended spark plugs: F7TC
NOTICE
An incorre ct spark plu g ca n cau se engine damage.
If the engine is hot, allow it to cool before servicing the spark p lug.
1. Disconnect t he spa rk plug caps, and remove any dirt from around th e spark p lug area.
2.
Remove the spark plugs with a 180mm spark plug wrench
(comm er c ially a
vailable).
3. Inspect the spark plugs. Replace them if the electrodes are worn or if the insulator
is cracked, ch ipped, or fouled.
4. Measure th e spa rk plug electrode gap with a wire type feeler gauge. Cor rect the gap, if necessary, by carefully
bending th e side electro de.
The gap should be: 0.7 -- 0.8mm
5. Make sure that the spark plug sealing washers are in good condition, an d th read the spark plug in by hand tprevent
cross threading.
6. After the spark plugs seat, tighten with a 21mmsparkplugwrenchto compress the washer.
If reinstalling a us ed spark plug, tighten 1/ 81/4 turn after the spa rk plug seats.
If installing a n ew spark p lu g, tighten 1/2 turn after the spark plug s ea ts.
