5.9 Raising presser foot
The foot pedal is used while sewing to raise the presser foot, e.g.,
to move the material. The machine's electronic control unit allows
various operating modes to be preset.

(+1) – Sewing position
(0) – Idle position
(-1) – Presser foot raised position
(-2) – Cutting and bar tacking position
(3) – Pedal

Risk of damage to machine from collision between needle
bar and presser foot.
Before raising the presser foot with the pedal, position the
needle in the upper or lower idle position using the electronic
control panel.
