7.2.2 Hook lubrication
The approved amount of oil for hook lubrication is a factory specification.
Correct setting
1. Hold a sheet of blotting paper near to the hook (1) when sewing.
After sewing a stretch of approx. 1 m, the blotting paper will have
been sprayed with a thin and even film of oil.

Setting steps
1. Turn the screw (2):
• counter-clockwise: more oil is released
• clockwise: less oil is released
The released amount of oil does not change until the operating time has
run a few minutes. Sew for several minutes before you check the setting
again.
WARNING
Risk of injury from sharp and moving parts.
When holding the blotting paper, make sure that
you do not reach into the hook or underneath the
area of the needle and sewing feet.
Switch off the sewing machine before adjusting the
hook lubrication.
