6.5 Programming mode parameters
Parameters Meaning
Forward and return
seam
The return seam is symmetrical to the forward seam using
the cutting length as an axis of symmetry.
Buttonhole width =
tacking width
The buttonhole width setting automatically specifies the tack-
ing width. The tacking width can be adjusted via the parame-
ters offset l and offset r in the relevant tacking menu.
Tacking The final tacking length is the first tacking length if both tack-
ings are identical. The tacking length is set for both in the
menu First tacking.
Buttonhole length The total buttonhole length is determined by the cutting
length + length before cut + length after cut + first tacking
length + final tacking length.

A (Standard):
Initial stitches are sewn flat
B (thin fabric, lining):
Initial stitches are sewn flat The upper thread is held better
in the material by means of a cross stitch.
C (very thin fabrics):
Initial stitches are sewn flat The upper thread is held better
in the material by use of forwards and return tacking
stitches.
D (very thin fabrics):
Alternative to start variant C
