Switching on the power supply
This is how you switch on the machine:
1. Press the main switch (1) down to position I.
 POWER LED illuminates, MESSAGE LED flashes briefly.
 The splash screen appears on the display:
• On the left, the control panel firmware
• On the right, the controller software version
 The machine performs a reference run and is ready for sew-
ing when the display shows the start screen.
Switching off the power supply
This is how you switch off the machine:
1. Press the main switch (1) up to position 0.
 The control panel shuts down. When the POWER LED goes
out, the machine and the controller are disconnected from
the power supply.
4.2 Changing the needle
WARNING
Risk of injury from moving parts!
Crushing is possible.
Switch off the machine before you change the
needle.
