7.3 Assembling the stand

Fit the stand as follows:

1. Tighten the pedal (1) on the cross strut (2).

2. Tighten the cross strut (2) to the stand using the screw and

the

wing nut (3).

3. After the machine has been fully assembled, adjust the pedal

( p. 101).

4. Turn the screw (4) to ensure that the stand is positioned

curely. All 4 feet of the stand must be in contact with the floor.

7.4 Tabletop

Ensure that the tabletop has sufficient load-bearing capacity and

strength. If you want to make your own tabletop, use the dimen-

sions given in the diagram (Appendix,  p. 137) as an example.
