11. End threading mode by pressing the two push buttons (9) on
the machine.
 The
reinforcement tape is cut off at the lower end of the
guide piece (10).
Important
If the cut strip of reinforcement tape is too sho
rt, this strip can be
pulled into the tulle foot and prevent the reinforcement tape from
being transported.
4.7 Adjusting thread tension and thread
quantity for the seam pattern
4.7.1 Seam types and seam pattern
To achieve the desired seam pattern, you need to adjust both the
thread tension and the thread quantity necessary for the stitch
formation for the needle thread and the looper thread.
The seam types fall into 3 different categories:
•Tight seam
•Normal seam
• Loose seam (highly elastic)
4.7.2 Adjusting the thread tension
Proper setting
The needle thread tension must be tighter than the looper thread
ten
sion.
Disturbance from incorrectly set thread tension
• Too tight: Crimping of the sewing material
• Too loose: Missing stitches
Use the control panel ( et sqq) to set the thread tension ( p. 50 f).
