7.7 Adjusting hook thread tension

Caution, danger of injury!

Switch the main switch off.

Only adjust the hook thread tension when the button sewer is

switched off.

The required hook thread tension should be created by the tensioning

spring 1. The bobbin case 3 should drop slowly under its own weight if

the threaded hook thread is to be held fast.

Adjusting the tensioning spring

Remove the bobbin case 3 and the bobbin.

–

Change the tensioning spring 1 with the adjustment screw 2 until

the required tension is reached.

Replace the bobbin case.
