6.10 Setting the Stitch Length
Stitch regulator lever
(Classes 271-140341, 272-140341)
The desired stitch length is set with the knurled nut 1 or 2 in the stitch regulator lever.
The stitch length for forward sewing is set with the knurled nut 1 and for reverse sewing
with knurled nut 2.
Changing the stitch length during sewing.
With the stitch regulator lever 5 the stitch length is infinitely variable between the set
forward and reverse stitch lengths during sewing.

Stitch regulator lever all the way up.
Forward sewing with the set stitch length.

Stitch regulator lever all the way down.
Reverse sewing with the set stitch length.
Setting dials
(Classes 271-140342, 271-140442, 272-140342, 272-160362, 272-640642,
272-740642, 273-140342, 274-140342)
The stitch length for forward sewing is set with setting dial 3 and the stitch length for
reverse sewing with setting dial 4.
