2.5.2Sewing footinclination

Caution:Risk ofinjury!

Switch the m ainswitch off.

C heck and adjustthe sew ing footonlywiththe sew ing unitsw itched

off.

Standard and checking

Sew ing footinclination (cross-line)

Itshouldbepossibleto pulla 0.025 m m thick brass foil2 from under

the rightpartofsew ing foot1 w ithaslightclam ping effect.

Onthe leftside3the brass foilm ustbe clam ped.

–

Place the brass foilunderthe sew ing foot.

–

Movethe feed-dogs in position “dow n”.

–

C heck the sew ing footposition w iththe brass foil2.

C orrection

–

Loosen screw 7 atthe sew ing foot.

–

Adjustthe sew ing footinclination.

–

Tighten screw 7.

Sew ing footinclination (in sew ing direction)

Screw 4 shouldliftthe sew ing footatthe frontinsuchawaythatthe

brass foilcan be pushed 5 to6mm infrontofthe needle.

Screw 6 m ustabuton the sew ing footinthis position.

–

Place the brass foilunderthe sew ing foot.

–

Movethe feed-dogs in position “dow n”.

–

C heck the sew ing footposition w iththe brass foil5.

C orrection

–

Turn screw 4 correspondingly.

–

Letscrew 6 abuton the sew ing foot.

Note

Afterthe adjustm entthe sew ing footinclination has tobechecked

once again.
