2.5Adjusting the sew ing foot

2.5.1Sewing footheight

Caution:Risk ofinjury!

Switch the m ainswitch off.

C heck and adjustthe sew ing footliftonlywiththe sew ing unitsw itched

off.

Standard

W hen the pistonrod7isextended,the lever6 should abuton screw 5

and the clearance underthe sew ing footshould am ountto4mm.

C orrection

–

Loosen counternut4 and screw the screw 5 dow n com pletely.

–

Swivelthe sew ing footin.

–

Turn handw heelindire c tion ofrotation untilthe teethofthe

feed-dog are underneaththe top edge ofthe throatplate.

–

Loosen screw 2 and press ring 1 backw ards untilitnearly reaches

the stop.There m ustbe a slightclearance so thatthe footsafely

re s tsonthe throatplate.

–

Tighten screw 2 inthis position.

Take care thatring 1 and lever3 have no axialbacklash.

–

Press lever6 dow n untilthere isadistance ofapprox.4 m m

betw een sew ing footand throatplate.

Letscrew 5 abuton lever6 inthis position and fixitby a locknut.
