2.4.3 Synchronous run ofdifferentialfeed-dog and m ainfeed-dog
Standard
The zero position ofthe step m otors is determ ined by the reference
disk 3.Itcovers the proximityswitch2whenreferencing.
C orrection
–
Setthe value 50 forthe basic position ofthe differentialfeed inthe
program .

Actuatethe resetsw itch.
–
Movethe bottom feed tothe frontreversalpointby turning the
handw heel.
–
M easure the distance fro m the frontedge ofthe frontfeed-dog to
the hind edge ofthe hind feed-dog.
–
Movethe bottom feed tothe rearreversalpointby turning the
handw heel.
–
M easure the distance again.
The difference betw een the frontand hind distance m ustnot
exceed 0 m m to+0.02 m m atthe rearreversalpoint.
Shouldthe difference exceed + 0.02mm,this m eans thatthe feed
stre tches the m aterial.
The adjustm entofthe differentialfeed has to be changed to“plus”.
Afteropening the clam ping screw 1 the reference disk 3 has tobe
turned dow nw ards (tow ards the proximityswitch)and fixed again
by the clam ping screw 1.
Shouldthe difference be below 0mm,this m eans thatthe feed
distributes fullness.Thus the adjustm entofthe differentialfeed has
to be changed to“minus”.
Afteropening the clam ping screw 1 the reference disk 3 has tobe
turned upw ards (aw ay fro m the proximityswitch)and fixed againby
the clam ping screw 1.

R epeatthe setting,ifrequired.
