2.7.2 Changing and adjusting the low erknife

Caution:Risk ofinjury!

Switch the m ainswitch off.

Exchange and adjustthe low erknife onlywiththe sew ing unit

sw itched off.

Standard

The blade ofthe low erknife has tobeflush w iththe top edge ofthe

throatplate.

C orrection

Rem ove the fabricsliding sheet.

–

Swivelthe sew ing footout.

–

Loosen screw 4.

–

Draw the holderofthe low erknife3tothe leftas faras itw illgo

and tighten screw 4 slightly.

–

Loosen screw 2 and rem ove the oldknife.

–

Inserta new ,sharp knifein guide1insuchawaythatthe blade is

flush w iththe top edge ofthe throatplate.

–

Tighten screw 2.

–

Turn the handw heeluntilthe upperknifeisinitshighestposition.

–

Loosen screw 4 and letthe holderofthe low erknife3spring

againstthe upperknife.

–

Tighten screw 4.
