APPLICATION:
DURONDELL round edge proles (closed) from Dural were developed as a handsome edging prole
for the corners of external walls. They are smoothly rounded and available in a variety of materials.
Aside from their protective function, they can also be used for attractive design purposes. They are
also suitable for use as a covering as skirting for tiled or carpeted, parquet or natural stone oors.
High-quality formed pieces are available for joining prole sections together.
MATERIAL:
DURONDELL is available in the following variants: PVC in many colours; aluminium anodised
silver, gold, champagne, titanium; aluminium high gloss anodised silver, gold; aluminium
powder-coated white, beige, pergamon, silver grey; brass natural; brass high gloss („Star“ with
peel-off strip); stainless steel natural; stainless steel high gloss polished („Star“ with peel-off strip);
stainless steel brushed („Star“ with peel-off strip).
PROPERTIES:
DURONDELL PVC proles are mainly intended for decorative use. They are made of coloured
PVC and are largely UV-resistant. Out of doors, however, the colour may fade over the course
of time (e.g. in bright sunlight). DURONDELL PVC proles are not suited for edges and
corners, where they may be subject to particular punishment. N.B.: The use of coloured
mortar with ultra ne colour pigments in conjunction with plastic proles may result in
permanent staining of the proles. We recommend taking appropriate protective measures as a
precaution.
DURONDELL aluminium proles may be used wherever unusual chemical reactions are not to be
expected. To avoid corrosion, it is necessary to take care with cement materials. Since aluminium
is susceptible to alkalis, any mortar, tile adhesive or grout residues must be removed immediately
from all visible surfaces. The prole must be completely embedded in the contact layer. This avoids
the formation of pockets where alkaline solutions of water can collect.
DURONDELL aluminium anodised and aluminium powder-coated proles are specially treated so
that their surfaces are not usually likely to change. Visible surfaces must still be protected from
cement materials. Items that scratch or scrape the proles may cause damage.
