The two FireWire 800 ports on the Duo-FireWire can be used to daisy chain multiple devices. The FireWire interface design limit is for 63 devices, but we recommend limiting the chain to four devices. All the devices must be turned on for down stream devices to be seen by the computer. There should be no performance degradation as a result of daisy chaining. .
