5.2.4 Threading in the needle thread
After a thread reel and needle have been fitted the needle thread can be
threaded as illustrated on the sticker attached to the machine.
Thread the needle thread as follows:

1. Press the Stop button to place the machine in the Secure hold sta-
tus.
 The secure stop light lights up.
2. Insert the thread from the right to the left through the rear part of the
thread guide (6).
3. Insert the thread from the right to the left through the front part of the
thread guide (6).
4. Feed the thread downwards from above, then upwards and again
downwards through the pre-tensioner thread guide (7).
5. Guide the thread counterclockwise around the pre-tensioner (7).
Risk of being stabbed by moving machine
parts.
Serious injuries to any part of the body may occur
if you come into contact with needle or other sharp-
edged and pointed objects.
 ONLY work on the machine if the secure stop
light is lit up.
 NEVER reach into the area of sharp-edged parts
