7 Decommissioning
A number of activities must be performed if the machine is to be shut down
for a longer period of time or completely decommissioned.
Decommission the machine as follows:
1. Switch off the main power switch under the sewing material support.
2. Turn the compressed air shut-off valve, at the right next to the main
power switch, to the right in the horizontal position.
3. Unplug the power plug.
4. Disconnect the pneumatic connection.
5. Remove residual oil from the oil pan under the sewing material sup-
port using a cloth.
6. Cover the operating terminal to protect it from soiling.
7. Cover the controller at the edge folding station to protect it from soil-
ing.
8. Cover the entire machine if possible to protect it from soiling and dam-
age.
Observe the necessary safety precautions for transport, Section 8
Packing, transportation.
Risk of injury due to a lack of care.
A lack of care or a lack of sufficient technical
knowledge when decommissioning the machine
can result in serious injuries.
ONLY clean the machine when it is switched off.
Avoid contact with oil residues.
Allow ONLY trained personnel to disconnect the
machine.
