Sew ing process Operation / Explanation
Before start of sew ing
Starting position
Position material at seam start
- Pedal is in the resting position.
The sewing machine is at rest.
The needle is up.
The sewing feet are down.
- Move pedal back halfway.
Raise the sewing feet.
- Push the material to the needle.
Sew ing
- Step the pedal forward and hold.
The machine then continues to sew with the speed
determined by the pedal.
In the middle of seam
Interrupt sewing operation
Continue sewing operation
(after releasing the pedal)
- Release pedal (return to rest position).
The machine stops in the first position
(needle down).
The sewing feet are down.
- Step forward on the pedal.
The machine then continues to sew with the speed
determined by the pedal.
Sewing an intermediate
lockstitch
- Press the stitch regulator lever 4 downwards.
The machine sews in reverse as long as the
stitch regulator lever is pressed.
The speed is determined by the pedal.
