2.8 Feeding foot and presser foot

2.8.1 Feeding foot and presser foot stroke

Caution: Risk of injury!

Tur n off the main switch.

Check and set the stroke of the sewing feet only when the machine is

switched off.

Standard checking

Setting of the cylinder

With the multi-position cylinder lifted the tongues 4 of the stitch

regulator gear have to be flush.

When actuating the multi—position cylinder and when tur ning the

handwheel the stroke of the sewing feet 1 and 2 should be identical.

Correction

–

Remove the arm cover.

–

Tur n the handwheel to position 0°.

–

Loosen screw 3.

–

Push the feeding foot 2 completely onto the throat plate.

–

Tighten screw 3.

–

Put the arm cover back on again.

–

Actuate the cylinder.

–

Check whether the two strokes are identical now. If not readjust

the setting.
