The Duckiebot is equipped with an IMU including gyroscope, accelerometer and
magnetometer, mounted on a Duckietown custom made PCB. Please refer to the linked
datasheet for detailed specifications on the sensor.
Front facing time of flight sensor (VL53L0X: Datasheet)
The Duckiebot is equipped with a front facing time of flight sensor (ToF). It can measure
approximately 50mm to 1.2 meter in default mode, up to 2m in "long range" mode.
Depending on ambient lighting and distance, you'll get 3 to 12% ranging accuracy -
better lighting and shiny surfaces will give you best results. Please refer to the linked
datasheet for detailed specifications on the sensor.
