17. TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
Cause
Solution
Symptoms
Is the vertical conveyance cover
open?
Is the paper receiving table fully
stacked with paper?
Have problems occurred in the down-
stream unit?
Has preset been performed?
Was paper changed to a different
type during operations?
Is the paper feed pressure too weak?
Is the separator pressure too strong?
Are the paper feed ring or paper feed
separator dirty?
Are the paper feed ring or paper
separator worn out?
Is the paper feed pressure too
strong?
Is the separator pressure too weak?
Are the paper feed ring or paper feed

Unit does not start even when
Start key is pressed
Paper jam error lamp lights up
even if paper is conveyed correctly
Empty-feed occurs frequently
Double-feed occurs frequently
• Close the cover to start operations.
• Remove the paper.
• Check the cause of the problem.
• Be sure to press the Preset key
before starting paper feed.
• When changing paper used, be
sure to press the Preset key.
• Increase the paper feed pressure.
(Move the paper feed pressure
adjusting knob to the right.)
• Decrease the separator pressure.
(Move the separator pressure ad-
justing lever to the left.)
• Clean the corresponding parts.

• Replace parts.
Contact your nearest Duplo dealer.
• Decrease the paper feed pressure.
(Move the paper feed pressure
adjusting knob to the left.)
